FAQ - Tips

After you talk to the King of Aliahan you must go to Lucia's Place and seek out four companions to aid you in your quest. A man at a table recommends you take a soldier, a pilgrim, and a wizard, which we agree is best. You can substitute a fighter for the soldier if you desire, but the fighter cannot be equipped with as many different weapons as the soldier.

All of the members of your party will come equipped with armor and a weapon. The soldier will never learn any spells, the pilgrim will know many, and specialize in healing spells, and the wizard will know the best fighting spells. At this point you venture out of Aliahan and begin your journey.

Dragon Warrior 3 is several steps above its two excellent predecessors. There are 60 different spells that your hero, pilgrim, and wizard combined can learn. With this high amount of spells, there is now a spell for almost everything. There are now 140 different monsters to fight, many even more dangerous than before. You can visit
up to 70 different places, a combination of many different castles, town, and shrines.
The return spell now lets you pick the name of the town or castle you want to return to, instead of making you go to the most recent place you saved.

Dragon Warrior 3 is not a game that you just pick up and play, it is a quest that you must put effort and time into. Enix has put many surprises in this game to keep your interest. Since the journey is so long, and the ground you travel is so plenty, we do have a complete Walkthrough of the game is you are in need, as well as a handy FAQ section filled with tips and the answers to the most desired questions from warriors.
