Broad Sword	Hero	1,500	1,125	30	Osterfair Castle, Lianport, Tantegel Castle, Hamlin	One of the best swords to get early on in the game.
Chain Sickle	Hero, Prince	390	293	15	Leftwyne, Hamlin	Another good starter weapon.
Club	Hero, Prince	60	45	8	Leftwyne	Was a perfect starting weapon in the first Dragon Warrior, is not worth the price in this game. But the Copper Sword instead.
Copper Sword	Hero, Prince	100	75	10	Leftwyne	Great weapon to start off with.
Dragon Killer	Hero	8,000	6,000	50	Tuhn	When equipped, your hero can take on the deadliest of creatures.
Falcon Sword	Hero, Prince	25,000	18,750	5	Tuhn	Is very low in terms of attack points, makes up for that because it hits the enemy 2 times (2x) per turn in battle.
Giant Hammer	Hero	4,000	3,000	35	Welgarth, Osterfair Castle, Beran, Tantegel Castle	This would be your first "super weapon" that you should keep until you can afford the Dragon Killer.
Iron Spear	Hero, Prince	770	578	20	Hamlin	Gives you good attack power at a rather cheap price.
Light Sword	Hero	16,000	12,000	65	Welgarth	This is the main sword your hero will use until he comes across the Thunder and Erdrick swords.
Magic Knife	Hero, Prince, Princess	200	150	12	Leftwyne, Lianport	This is a good starter weapon for the Princess.
Staff of Thunder	Hero, Prince, Princess	-	19,500	15	You get this after defeating the Mad Clown in jail of Midenhall Castle	This is an excellent item, especially for the Princess. If you want to make fast cash, you can sell the Staff at the item shop upstairs and then battle the Mad Clown again for more.
Sword of Destruction	Hero	-	11,250	93	Dropped by Atlas, Green Dragon, and Giants in the land of Rhone	Great attack power, however it is cursed.
Sword of Erdrick	Hero	-	2	40	Charlock Castle	Does have good attack power, however unlike the first Dragon Warrior, this is not the ultimate weapon of the game. Found rather early on in your quest.
Thunder Sword	Hero	-	375	80	Cave of Rhone	This is the best sword for your hero, has the power of thunder.
Wizard's Wand	Hero, Prince, Princess	2,500	1,875	8	Beran, Tuhn, Lianport, Tantegel Castle	This is a weapon you should probably buy only for the Princess. It uses magic as well in battle, may be better off with keeping the Magic Knife so you conserve MP.
