FAQ - Tips

Just like in the first Dragon Warrior, you must pick a name for your hero when you begin the game, as well as message speed. As always we recommend fast for the message speed. This game differs from Dragon Warrior in many ways besides having multiple party members, and taking on several opponents at one time. It begins with a cinematic screen, which Dragon Warrior only had one of those at the end of the game.

The King of Moonbrooke is enjoying the day with his daughter, your cousin, when Hargon's beasts enter the castle and wreak havoc.

When the King finds out the monsters have entered his palace he plans on hiding his daughter deep in the dungeon, and making a way to Midenhall where he can get assistance from the King and people of Midenhall.

Unfortunately the monsters make their way to the courtyard and after a heroic battle, the King of Moonbrooke falls to his doom after being out numbered.

After the destruction of Moonbrooke, which is an excellent cinematic scene in NES terms, your quest begins. You start off alone until you meet up with your 2 companions. As with the original Dragon Warrior, talk to every person you can, and take note of what each of them says, There are many more challenging puzzles in this game than its predecessor. Be sure to look at our maps section since the world of Alefgard and surrounding areas have changed over the years. We also have an FAQ section and complete Walkthrough for those who are in need.  You are once again the descendant of Erdrick, and once again a Dragon Warrior.................
